Events began in 1994, expanded in 1998, and entered a golden age in 2002. The current Tampa Bay Shoots is a result of 17 years of experience, market research, and development, as well as 5 years of overlapping dedicated development in the Tampa Shootouts program, for a total of 22+ years of photography event and event production experience.
The event technology, formats, and support infrastructure of Tampa Bay Shoots were built to support leading photography businesses in their research and development work; Aurora PhotoArts currently uses Tampa Bay Shoots technology for its secret Mirage experimental photography event program and its highly secret ShimmerWorks research and development program. If it is good enough for them, it is the best for you.
This makes us the absolute best value in photography events and workshops in Florida, as well as without parity in the market, and without competition, by default.

Welcome to Tampa Bay Shoots, the premier modeling photography events and photography workshops in the Tampa Bay area of Florida.
We set the standard in professional photography events and workshops, and our commitment to value and quality is unmatched. Our photography events were among the first in the Tampa Bay area, and we started organizing and hosting modeling photography events in 1998. After years of organizing these events, also known as shoots, as well as research, we began an aggressive research and development program in 2011, which resulted in what we have now, starting in 2015, four years later, Tampa Bay Shoots.
We will begin rolling out our events in 2015, with a full rollout of the events and workshops in 2016, as we have a lot of work to do still, such as building a roster of professional models to book for the photography events and workshops. We are very excited about the selection of events and workshops which we are developing, which include, but are not limited to the following.

01. Aperture Modeling Photography Events
Flagship photography event series where photographers pay to shoot models, whom get paid.

02. Allure Sexy Modeling Photography Events
Like Aperture, but for glamour, bikini/ swimsuit, boudoir, lingerie, and high risk work)

03. Siren Swimsuit Photography Events
Like Allure, but focuses on swimsuit modeling photography.

04. Strobe Modeling Photography Events
Secret modeling photography events where models are evaluated for jobs. Not open to the public or for offered to clients. Formerly “Beacon”.

05. Rev Vehicle Photography Events
Photography events with vehicles such as original and custom cars, motorcycles, watercraft, and aircraft as well as professional models.

06. Beachhead Modeling Photography Events
Secret photography events which can’t be revealed to outsiders even if they are happening. Not offered to clients.

07. Sketch Modeling Photography Events
Modeling photography events with alternative professional models, such as models whom are heavily tattooed.

08. Play Modeling Photography Events
Cosplay modeling photography events with cosplay models.

09. Mirage Experimental Photography Events
Secret test and research photography events for Aurora PhotoArts and its ShimmerWorks research and development program. These events are run by Tampa Bay Shoots and supported by our infrastructure, but are NOT open to the public at any price. Even the locations that these events are held at are a secret.

10. Canvas Photographic Art Events
Cosplay modeling photography events with cosplay models.

11. Focus Modeling Photography Workshops
Like Aperture, but a workshop with keynotes, lectures, and interactive instruction included. These are more expensive.

12. Lace Sexy Modeling Photography Workshops
Like Allure, but with the same types of lecture and workshop elements as Focus.

13. Legends Professional Photography Workshops
Workshops with experienced professional photographers whom have worked or are working successful careers in photography, and whom have notable accomplishments or are leaders in their markets.

Workshops with experienced professional photographers whom have worked or are working successful careers in photography, and whom have notable accomplishments or are leaders in their markets.

Although Aurora PhotoArts and C. A. Passinault own and operate Tampa Bay Shoots, Aurora PhotoArts is a separate business from Tampa Bay Shoots; Aurora PhotoArts is a photography and design services business, and Tampa Bay Shoots is a photography event and workshop business. Anything which can be a professional or ethical conflict of interest is kept separate; for example, modeling jobs at the events and workshops of Tampa Bay Shoots are NOT promised to the clients of Aurora PhotoArts, and Aurora PhotoArts does not market (advertise) anything with these jobs. Then we have the premise of working professionals instructing and teaching at our workshops. We contract working industry professionals to teach at our workshops, but both C. A. Passinault and Aurora PhotoArts will NOT be teaching anything at any workshop and event, although Passinault has been tempted to offer a course on ethics after years of seeing what has been going on in the market. Aurora PhotoArts is very serious about market leadership, and has no interest teaching anyone anything, as much of what is does is not only highly effective, but is classified as a trade secret. In many ways, Aurora PhotoArts and C. A. Passinault are way ahead of other photographers and photography companies. Passinault, who owns Aurora PhotoArts and Tampa Bay Shoots, considers offering up anything that Aurora PhotoArts does as a course or as a workshop as a conflict of interest of his work as a photographer and with what Aurora PhotoArts does, and while he may assist other industry professionals, he has barred himself and anything to do with Aurora PhotoArts from teaching anything at a Tampa Bay Shoots event or workshop, even though he is more than qualified. Although Tampa Bay Shoots is important to Passinault, he does not want to risk, or to compromise the market leadership or the trade secrets of Aurora PhotoArts, and will not do so; this is one reason why it took Passinault many years to create Tampa Bay Shoots, as he had to figure out the conflicts and organize things in a way that they could be managed and limit the risk to his primary career. Aurora PhotoArts technology and business tactics are classified, and are not for sale at any price; anyone wishing to book a Tampa Bay Shoots workshop with the motivation or the hope of learning from Aurora PhotoArts will be disappointed, and we do not wish to imply, or mislead anyone, with the hope of learning anything from Passinault or Aurora PhotoArts. Simply put, Passinault is not interested in teaching, as he cares more about working as a professional photographer, designer, and as an event planner. You will NOT learn anything about Aurora PhotoArts or its affiliates by booking our events or workshops.
That said, our events and workshops will have more than enough of a selection of professional photographers to choose from as instructors, and we go through great lengths, as does Passinault, to make sure that they are qualified.
